Tenith was accredited as the first Innovation Scholar in the nation through ‘Innovation Scholars In-Residence Programme’ which had been created for the first time to promote the spirit of innovation in India. The five innovators who worked in diverse areas directly contributing to the everyday life across the nation were awarded as Innovation Scholar by the government of India and Tenith was also the youngest innovator among the awardee.

The initiative was inaugurated by the Hon’ble President Pranab Mukherjee on December 11, 2013 giving further impetus to inspiring innovators across the nation. The program was developed to enhance innovations across India and brainstorm towards the development of the country.

The Innovation Scholars were invited by the President of India to stay in Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the President of India for about a period of 20 days as an official guest of the President. Tenith’s journey had earned him the privilege of becoming the youngest official guest of the President at Presidential House, where he stayed at South West Wing of the Rashtrapati Bhavan and was excited about receiving the personal attention of the President at the age of 16.

Instead of resting on his laurels, Tenith engaged and brainstormed with various ministries, departments and organizations across the nation to enhance his journey and to develop the path of the nation towards betterment.

The elegant touch of the nation’s democratic system accelerated Tenith to take his mission further to serve the country. The whole experience was astonishing, that provided an enriching time to the change makers and the extraordinary people who dedicate their life towards the advancement of the nation to have a pleasant and memorable stay at the President’s house.

Lab Accident

While Tenith was experimenting one of his projects “Physical Transmutation” on his home-made laboratory, he added disproportionate concentrated acid combination with mercury which led to evolution of toxic fumes. Even though Tenith employed safety measures including goggles, mask and artificial respiratory apparatus, the abrupt rise evolved toxic fumes affected his artificial respiratory system that resulted in the inhalation the toxic gasses. He was hospitalized for about a month and was struggling even to breathe at that time. This accident affected Tenith’s health seriously and caused the short-term loss of WBC and immunity along with the temporary state of low metabolism. While lying on the hospital bed, he told his parents, ‘Science needs sacrifice’ which frightened them so much that they never allowed him to work with chemicals thereafter. It took around six to seven months to recover his health completely. Still now, the accident is an intolerable incident to Tenith.

Dr. Kalam @ Indian Science Congress

When Tenith was a delegate in the occasion of the 101st Indian Science Congress, held in Jammu from February 3 – 7, 2014, he was listening to the key note lecture delivered by Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. In the inaugural address of Dr. Kalam, he noticed that it was a young prodigy who did many inventions and solving global problems. At first, Tenith was curious to know that person and was slightly envious. After a while, Dr. Kalam stated that the young prodigy was Tenith and let the audience know his scientific journey. Tenith was stared at him as he didn’t expect that it was him. He was shocked about it very much as Dr. Kalam didn’t even know that that he was there. For Tenith, it was an unforgettable memory always in his life.

Computer Course Entry Barrier

When Tenith was in grade 2, he wanted to learn computers and get into the internet because books didn't feed his intellectual thirsts as it contained limited information. At that period, Tenith didn’t have much exposure to computers and the internet as he was in a rural area. So, he went to a native computer institution where the institute superiors started to question him to know whether he want to play games there because he was just a grade 2 student but trying to learn courses practiced by graduates. But in the end, they restricted his admittance as the institution had mostly graduates. While being a kid, he stayed there with strong determination and asked them why he shouldn’t be given a chance. After struggling for about a year, he got admitted in the institution for a trial period of three days with a challenge that he could not continue over 3 days. At the end of his first day in the institute, they said Tenith that he was good enough to learn along with the other graduates and could continue the course from the next day.


Who is Tenith now?
A social entrepreneur, activist, researcher, motivational speaker, science campaigner, professional coin collector, Guinness world record holder and a teacher at the age of 20. Tenith immersed himself in active learning and was quite capable of becoming a self-made man at the age 4. He had a major inclination for creativity, coming up with an array of inventions such as banana leaf technology, adjustable electricity board and another 17 inventions. He had an unrivaled attention to detail on his creations. He was also a pioneer in the discovery of information networking “Altruu” with the creation of discovery engine. With no press promotion, Altruu sustained for a couple of years and still on its track. He not only succeeded in the world of work, but also satisfied himself in the realm of home and family. His accomplishments were inextricably linked with his vision that incentivized the youth greatly. Instead of resting on his laurels, he continues to serve both the nation and the world as much as he can in his lifetime. His energetic vision helped him to engage with the essential social concerns actively.

Adithyaa had an independent attitude about things in the world. In essence, he detailed everything matter-of-factly at the age 4. He had a voracious appetite for knowledge, reading books on a wide range of subjects in his spare time. He developed a rich style of thinking and inquiry, proving things to himself through analyzation and experimentation. Tenith showed an early interest in how things work, turning his own home into a laboratory equipping electrical contraptions around his house and was intent on learning through hands-on experience. He was not fulfilled with the formal school life that was exhausted, spending most of his time in his lab and got few hours of sleep. His parents stated, “When any of his toy was not functioning well, he broke it immediately and pinpoint problems along with different solutions for them”. Tenith always preferred showing to telling and so he learned a wide breadth of technical skills including diverse programming languages and computer applications when he was grade 4. He failed in many of his inventions but he never stopped learning, instead he would resolve it to avoid in his forthcoming tryouts. He is always up for whatever life throws in his way.

Being a professional coin collector, he went on an expedition in the meantime across many countries to collect coins, diverse bank notes and artifacts.

Banana Leaf Technology
He identified the ecological crisis as the biggest global concern that needed to be addressed over the foreseeable future. Human action has triggered various environmental problems which threatens both the nature and human beings to survive. The journey began when he saw farmers dump heaps of leaves as trash due to the lack of a preservation technology, causing a huge economic void. After acute observations, he came along with the groundbreaking statistics about the global landfill amounting to more than 1 billion tons per year. He sat down at his lab and intensely began working on his new idea. He worked restlessly and loved every minute of it keeping his dream and vision intact. From its inauspicious origins in his own homemade laboratory, Adithyaa started to work on the spark ignited in his mind. In 2010, Tenith bolstered his portfolio with the invention of Banana leaf technology in its initial phase of preserving the leaves for about a year without using any chemicals. Over the next few years with research and development, the technology advanced to cellular enhancement and all these possessions rose from his humble beginnings. Meanwhile, Tenith has received numerous honors and accolades for his Banana Leaf Technology around the world.

As vast resources of the planet have been pressed into serving the human beings, it raised to the ecological crisis which made him to take a deeper dive into the issue. "Would you like to represent India?" In the blink of an eye, he said "yes." He traveled to United States to demonstrate his eco-friendly technology. He redirected his energies towards the social innovation movement to catalyze the youth power around the world and infused the forward-thinking attitude in the students. As the founder of the social innovation movement 'Lets Innovate youth' which strives for the betterment of global people, he empowered more than 89,000 youths worldwide since 2010 and pushed them further than they thought ever possible to look for new opportunities. Tenith strongly believes that everyone is capable of doing innovative things if they unleash their hidden potential. As he knew the keys that could push every individuals to unhide their best performance, he partnered with many organizations to awaken the imagination of youth and foster the creativity that allows them to innovate new stuffs. Tenith devoted much of his teenage to motivate the youth across dozens of countries inspiring them to do something remarkable for the planet. In this campaign, students procure ample opportunities to explore and innovate on not only education but also in every aspects of life.

Tenith was born in February 11, 1998 and called as Innovator and Innovation Scholar worldwide. He, a multi-talented and normal kid, was a serial innovator having 19 inventions under his name so far, a motivational speaker delivered 78 speeches worldwide, researcher, teacher, professional coin collector, software developer developed 38 softwares and also a science campaigner doing campaigns worldwide.

The scientific journey started by having an artistic award at kindergarten and then a literature laurel at the age of 6. The multi-talented kid liked to create things because just sitting as a kid and playing lot of games didn't matter and so started to do stuffs that the kid loved most. The kid was very lazy too but then turned to a busy kid by starting to observe things instead of seeing things where the journey started to do something innovative or new things for the world. The kid loved books and started to read from very early age getting the first technical encyclopedia at the age of 6 after a very hard struggle because the kid’s dad didn't give it. As like a usual kid, the kid smashed all toys and the fortunate thing was that the toys were rebuilt well than ever before. Moreover, the kid also took calculators and watches from his mother and luckily saved by his grandma from getting beaten by black and blue.

As the kid was grown up, he turned into doing effective experiments and did his first successful experiment at the age of 6. Books didn't feed his intellectual thirsts as it contained limited information. Apart from that, if he wanted to read something, he would need to wait for at least two days to get those books and so he found a solution that he had in the hand, the internet. At that age, the kid didn’t have much exposure to the computers as well as internet as he was in rural area and somebody was needed for him to introduce the internet so that he could get into it. After struggling for about a year, he got admitted in a private computer education institute with a trial period of 3 days as he was only at the age of 8 and the institute was supposed to be for the high school graduates. The institute made a challenge that he could not continue over 3 days but at the very first day, they said him that he could come the next day and he was good enough to get into the institute.

For the succeeding period of around five years, he struggled continuously and did his first Guinness World Record titled “Most Softwares and Games created on youngest age” at the age of 11 and eventually created 18 softwares at the age 12. The kid was curious to create another world record in the same year by creating a different software as he had created softwares for office utilities and education purposes so that he created a software named “Power Mind” which had a capability running for about 570 years continuously without any interruption and it was the longest-running computer program created in the world so far. He didn’t have much infrastructure to get into technologies and so he traveled national wide at the very next year and met many students who said that technology was their life births and they needed to get into most of the things. He interacted and motivated with more than 17,000 students worldwide so far as a motivational speaker along with his parallel path of science career.

The first successful invention “Wireless Electricity Transmission” was done at grade 6 in 2010 and it was an idea struck in mind while reading transformer principle. The most successful invention so far “Banana Leaf Technology” was done at grade 6 in 2010 that had the capability of preserving leaves as it was in the tree, for about a year without using any chemicals. The ultimate aim of this technology was to substitute the plastic that was one of the global issue. This technology was not preserving leaves but also increasing its properties like durability crushability temperature resistance so that the leaves would change like a plastic that was biodegradable and beneficial. With this preservation technology, there were 18 applications ranging bags and cups to plates and envelopes. The necessity of creating this technology was that it could save about 30 million tree per annum by replacing over 59% of plastic usage. While working on the preservation technology, a problem raised with the deficiency of power outlets which led him to think as he was the one who didn’t want to live with problem. He invented a device named “Adjustable Electrical Extension Board” which could power 17 electrical devices like TV, mobile phone, etc., at the same time and it was designed to function on multiple frequencies so that any country plugs can be powered.

As a school student, he was appearing in school, doing some homework, preparing for tests and after all these, starting to do scientific research awaking up to 3 A.M. in the home-made laboratory. He realized that education, learning and intelligence are peculiarly different which everyone was messing together. As a student with realizing that difference, he passed as topper of that year. In the current educational system, they were just making students as a copying machine and not even as a printer. Apart from appearing in school, he had to do scientific research and computer programming. Finally at grade 8, he found a solution to do all those stuffs as grades didn't matter or predict the intelligence of a person. The kid was usually a first bench student but got into the last bench in the classroom and started to write down his programming in a plain paper instead of studying those books that he already studied before coming to the school. So far, he had created 24 softwares while sitting on the last bench of the classroom. In reality, the practical ability or knowledge could not be obtained in the classrooms.

A scientific research needed to be maintained properly that was not easy as well. While working on his laboratory, he mixed up two chemicals accidentally and was hospitalized for about a month which affected his whole metabolism. Resembling the Iceberg theory, everyone saw the success and no one would know the failures that were hidden behind every success. To succeed in life, everyone should have self-motivation and cross the safe limits that they had and unleash their potential with what they're capable of. Having inspiration might destroy the inner talent of people as everyone was different in the world. It could be agreed to play and enjoy the one and only life but something had to be achieved by everyone as they were in this planet and could make sacrifices for their aim.

He started his journey when he was around the age of 4 and did as much as he could. He represented India in the global science fair and got gold medal. He got an invitation from the president house to stay in his house for about a month and he was the first student in the whole country to have this privilege. The experience which he had during that period changed him most as he thought that there were lack of opportunities that the country had given. But he recognized that before expecting anything from the country, something should be sacrificed or contributed for its welfare. He got titled as “Innovation Scholar” by the government of India. He was the first Indian to receive an “International Youth Creative Award”, the youngest one to receive “International Young Innovator Award” and also the youngest “Global STEM Entrepreneur” and so on. He was also visited UN to deliver his speech. He was good and successful at his age but this was not enough for him. There were a lot of kids around the nation that had enough manpower as well as resources yet unsuccessful. It made him to think and start a campaign called “Let's Innovate Youth” and he was servicing through this campaign across the state, national and international levels for more than a decade. For his social works, he got recognition in both national and international levels. He received “International Diana Award” and “Best State Youth Award” from the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. He received 13 international, 9 national and 9 state awards.

He was doing few projects like “Eternal Hydro Core” that had the ability to replace usual agriculture method, “Project Transmutation” that could covert a normal metal into radioactive metal.

One thing that he used to say at every dais was, “Please explore and let the youth in creative path”.


Tenith is a 22-year-old Indian entrepreneur, inventor and social activist. Started experimenting at the age of 6, he has invented 19 inventions including ‘Banana Leaf Technology’, a cellular enhancement technology.

Tenith was born as a healthy baby in a nursing home named ‘Backiyam Nursing HOME Health Facility’ located in Srivilliputhur, Tamil Nadu, India on February 11, 1998 and came into this world by natural birth weighing about 2.75 Kg with the B+ve blood type. Tenith is the single child to his parents and an Indian national. He was brought up by his grandparents ‘Philomena G’ and ‘Ingnacimuthu A’ and both of them were served as head mistress and master in school. He spent a decade of his early life in W.Pudupatti, a rural village located in the outskirts of Southern India.

He was nurtured closely by his mother for the very first year and spent the next decade under the love of his grandmother. Tenith’s mother ‘Agneline A I’ was a teacher and father ‘Mavel Rajan’ was into automobile business. Tenith’s native is ‘Watrap’, ‘வத்றாப்’ in Tamil, a village located in Virudhunagar District, Tamil Nadu, India.

Tenith hit the walking milestone by the end of 13 months and began speaking at about 10 months.

As a history teacher, Tenith’s grandmother brought him up with tasteful and interesting stories that shaped his thought process and ultimately led to love history.

As a single child, he was often competitive but it was softened by his sisterly care from ‘Radhika P’ who took care and treated Tenith as his own brother from his childhood. Her feminine care made Tenith to have a huge affection towards elder sisters even today. They spent a decade together as brother and sister as thick as thieves in all aspects.


The one person whom Tenith obeys and loves unconditionally is his grandmother. The bond between them is indescribable. She always comes to Tenith’s matter of defense without questions and always taught him the values of life along with the difference between the right and wrong.

Tenith became fluent in both Tamil and English at the age of 3. His grandmother played a vital role in his literature fluency as she ensured his routine communication proficiency by engaging in conversation that seemed like interested to him. The entire childhood was shaped by his grandmother.

As a single child, the brought up usually brings selfishness and loneliness but his grandmother’s unconditional love has showed Tenith that a person can love someone more than himself and that is what true love and care mean. In contradiction to what Tenith wanted, his grandmother opposed his early exposure to technology and computers.

Tenith is a lazy child and he is often too lazy. His grandmother found interesting ways to keep him energetic and playful. As time went by, his laziness became habit of choice.

The professional life chosen by Tenith is self-motivated but he sees his social life somewhat set forth by the life values taught by his grandmother in his early age. She always insisted him to ‘help others’, ‘do the right thing; no matter what’ and ‘respect and treat everyone equally’.

Till date, he loves grandmother’s riddles, stories and cooking.


Tenith spent his childhood rarely with his mother. As he was very much bonded with his grandmother, he seen his mother like a stranger for quite a while. The relationship between Tenith and his mother was somehow drastic. He fought, argued and despised his mother in his early days.

As every mother in this planet, Tenith’s mother cared and loved him in her own ways and she sacrificed much of her life towards her family. He learned will power, the essence of life and motherly care from his mother.

As every mother would, Tenith’s mother also wanted a good and peaceful life for her son. When he wanted to do something different than the ordinary kids, she was skeptical. As his mother had a traditional frame of mind, she always saw his academic accomplishments as far more important than his research. She was also feared about his future and higher education. Her fear came true when Tenith realized that traditional education is of no greater value. On this subject, Tenith and his mother were at opposite ends.

His mother wanted him to achieve in academic education but his mind was set in a different path. All these arguments were caused a greater deal of stress on his family but his firm belief pushed him to pursue towards his vision. For a long time nearly half a decade, this difference of opinion and conflict were retained between both of them. Tenith mother had a keen eye and firm position on his completion of formal education.

The traditional mindset, set forth firmly by the current education system that achievement or success of life is merely based on academic education and scores have played a huge role on slowing the progress of Tenith. Even though he was firm and rigid towards his journey and vision, the impact was delivered through his mother. As Tenith holds high regards for his family, he was ultimately compelled to fulfill the emotional needs of his mother.

The system magnified the need of traditional education and schoolings rather than giving importance to self-learning and practical education. The rather the problem arises not because of the need of education, rather it became a necessity in the eyes of society. To mingle and coexist in a social order, it became an inseparable part of the life. People undergo traditional education not because it was needed or useful in life but rather it was required to fit into the society, system and among the social peer system.

The social innovation movement

Lets Innovate Youth movement is a social innovation movement aimed to empower youth with innovation and creative education. Founded as a technological awareness campaign in 2009, it has organised workshops and brainstorming camps across the rural parts of the country covering more than 12 states in the first year.

In addition to the technology, the creative education and innovation were on board when the campaign became a social movement. Partnership with various institutes and organisations, helped the movement to cover more than hundred sites that resulted in a nationwide impact. In 2013, lets innovate youth has become a global movement.

The mission of the movement is to empower creative youth for the betterment of our planet and humanity.

Since its reach in global arena, Lets innovate youth movement resulted in 22 new innovations, 178 workshops and camps, 78 awards received by mentored students, has covered 24 countries and 89,000 youth worldwide.
